We took our grandpuppy to the dog park today.

She was definitely excited to be there. I was not sure as it was drizzling on-again-off-again during our few days of Juneuary here.

Marymoor is a beautiful property and really huge! Over 640 acres…I’m not even sure what that means. The internet tells me that a football field is about 1.32 acres so it would be 484 football fields and that a square mile is equal to 640 acres. Somehow, a square mile doesn’t seem as big as the experience of the land does. Part of that is because this park is not square and it contains a 100-acre lake. So there’s that. It has things like a concert venue along with the off-leash dog park and a lot of natural spaces.

There is a heronry and a bird conservation area. I don’t know if heronry is a word but in the middle of the dog park, there are a few big trees that have quite the assortment of Great Blue Heron families. I didn’t take my big lens so my photos aren’t really great. But you can see one in the tree in this snap…sort of.

Alkimaya loves to play ball!

And she loves to swim.

The balls belong to the park. She abandons them throughout our time and finds new ones. Today, however, she couldn’t find one for a while and played with this “stick” that was more like a small log.

She had a blast and we got our steps in!
Thanks for your time!
